Making Promo Materials
Many people use half-hour promo materials on Google featuring long stories (often taken from landing pages, by the way). The Moonstar Network team don’t follow this approach. They’ve tried using promo materials of different length (both 30 seconds and 1.5 minutes videos). The long promo materials yielded expensive leads, so they settled on a 30-second video with beautiful graphics. They chose this one due to the lower cost per lead.
This is one that didn’t really work for them. It’s very drawn out, and because of the long duration, the lead turned out to be high in cost. That’s why they moved away from this option.
And this video went very well. It is beautiful and not very long. People immediately understand how much they need to deposit and how much they are going to make.
The Campaign Setup and Expenses
When you work with Google, you have to choose carefully payment systems. The Moonstar Network team use AdPay Cards because it allows for some flexibility in managing your account and secure transactions.
They set up the target for men and women aged 33 to 55. Only mobile devices were taken into account. They did not change any other targeting settings. The key moment is that they closely monitored the placements where the ads were shown, and excluded unnecessary ones. They excluded those channels where, in their opinion, there was no solvent audience or very little: games, music, channels not from the corresponding GEO, and so on.
They left what the target audience watches most often (news, movies, car reviews, etc.). Based on the spent budget, they conducted analytics once every 2 — 3 days and constantly optimize campaigns. In their opinion, this is the right approach for working with the source.
